My prayers are with you and your family. My roof caught alight earlier this year, we we're all ok but the thought of everything you own going up in flames in terrifying.

Ladies, is stubble on a man attractive?
by nicolaou inor does it mean he's just a lazy bugger who hasn't shaved?
my lady insists i'm nice and smooth but gets all hot and bothered over a bristly ewan mcgregor!
i mean, what's a guy to do?.

Children at the meetings, how did you cope
by Mrs Smith inmy son was about 5 years old when we stopped going to the meetings.
the other day i asked him what he remembers about them (his now 14 years old).
he remembered the puzzles i bought him to play with during the meetings.. he remembered that i packed a sandwich and some juice for him to eat in case he got hungry.. when he got board i use to take him outside for a walk around the kh garden.

Message board ranks...who cares?
by Burger Time innot to be mean but why should i care that you have 3,000 posts?
this yet again proves how useless even making stats like this public are.
it just gives people ammo to say, "i have 25,000 posts so obviously i am more vested in this board then you".

My apologies Mrs. Smith (or is that Mrs. Elderette? ) ....I will be sure to ask your "permission" before I post on another thread! I guess after your 261 post-count, the board admins have declared you the arbitrator of which poster can post where?.......................whatever................
This is the reply I got from one of the posters cause he didn't like what I had to say! So yes I think that some posters take the numbers to heart!

No one on this forum ever take their kids to the meeting or are you not talking to me?

I also packed sweets for him that his dad and I use to eat aswell.
I wasn't the only one walking around the garden with my child, other moms would be there too. Sometimes the moms would start chatting and let the kids run wild outside.
No smacking my child for not sitting still. I couldn't wait for him to get restless so I could get out of there.

Went to one day assembly at the weekend.....
by The Scotsman ini was at the one day assembly at the weekend - we are the clay, jehovah is the potter.. this was the first assembly i have been at as a "thinking" person.. one of the talks mentioned how the world can "prime" our minds.
he said - people just follow what they hear, do not question it, believe anything.. and i thought - hmm, i am surrounded by people like that!!.
a young sister i know was up for baptism - when she stood up to say yes to the couple of questions i just wanted to shout "dont do it".

How did you manage to sit there all day and listen? Thank you for the info. So there was no "new light" at this assembly?
Just to think that you would give us such a hard time only a few months ago! I'm so happy that you took the blinkers off. (((((The Scotsman))))

In the end the best team won.
I agree . Even with that try they would not have won!
How are you doing Mr Scotsman?
Has there been any mention of some of English Team not shaking the SA president's hand?
I thought they were very rude!
